Specialist Services Group has cemented its place in the Middle East through a careful, multi-faceted strategy within the oil and gas industry. With the strategic acquisition of Aberdeen-based Labtech Services Limited three years ago as well as the new regional office in Singapore, Specialist Services Group has built a solid network that now covers Europe, the Middle and Far East.
Business Review Europe & Middle East speaks to Ian Rogers, the Group CEO, who summed up the company’s strategy: “If we are going to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients we need to be present in those markets, and we have a geographic strategy such that we can deliver on our client’s requirements.”
Specialist Services Group survived the 2008-9 financial crisis and came out fighting, which is how Ian Rogers predicts the company will weather the current oil price slump. He even admitted, “Our EPC yards are so busy it’s hard to find how we can do more work.”
